So last night my uni mates came back up to Liverpool for one last night out as we graduate in July. I had been off alcohol for 6 weeks to the day however I did decide to drink (quite a bit to be honest), although it was all beer. When I was initially struck down with PVF I continued drinking even though I felt awful for days on end afterwards, eventually around exam time I stopped. During the 6 week period I was also on high strength vitamin B (mainly B12) tablets I though would help the problem. This was not to be I feel rough today, I feel worse when I drink now than I did before I stopped. When I woke this morning I thought I fine then.... BOOM hit me with blurred vision light dizzy head and chest pains. I initially thought I was going to pass out but luckily did not however it did last for a good half hour or more until it wore off, just the dizzyness remains.

I don't regret drinking because it has let me know where I stand now with the illness as before I wasn't sure if I was improving. I am getting better just not on the alcohol sensitivity side.

Anyone else got any alcohol related stories or bad after effects?

Hey - I used to get REALLY bad hangovers prior to getting bad with this but now as I have one everyday it feels I don't seem to suffer!!! lol

You need to let your hair down occasionally - if you are going to feel crap anyway you may as well have a great memory!!!

It is recommended to remove Alcohol from the equasion - difficult I know but now I really can't drink much - I used to be a bottle of wine a night here and there (not EVERY night!!) before but now I can't stand the smell before the glass is even poured!!

    Les x
