Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has tried holistic treatment and if so how did it go.
I am taking supplements(vits etc), trying to eat healthy, no caffeine and no alcohol(I don't drink much anyway) and think it all helps a little. I have been wondering though about going to a holistic healer near by who deals with fatigue and allergies (which I also have), he said he will check out any food allergies and sort out a diet for me. His price is £56 for 1 1/2hours which I think is quite good especially if it helps! Also going to occupational tharapist next week.
Brilliant site so good to feel all that support
Warm wishes to all

I have found acupuncture incredibly helpful for my energy levels & general mood. I have been seeing a homeopath as well, and just went to see a nutritionist/naturopath which was really great. I would def reccomend going to a nutritionist or naturopath to find ways to help your body heal using herbs/supplements/diet.

Hi both,
Not sure about accupuncture! However a good nutritionist sounds a good idea, it does get confusing which ones to take. I have just ordered the VegEPA recommended by Dr Myhill and Professor Puri, so will see how we get on with that.
Have not heard peppermint is good for muscle fatigue, I have peppermint tea sometimes for my tummy so will try that, or will I be better with peppermint oil?
Going for some Reiki on Friday, not had it before so will let you know how it goes.
Thanks guys

Hi guys,

Had my Reiki on Friday and it was great, she is also a counsellor so we had a chat before hand. I was very open and possitive before the session and I think that helped, I found it very relaxing and definitely felt things going on! After I felt very peaceful and found it much easier to be possitive, just an all over good feeling. Later I did however feel rough in some ways, tummy felt squeezy all the time and my chest went tight. I found out that it can bring the toxins out of your body so you can feel worse for a while. Since then I have felt normal a few times and that all over good feeling has carried on. I am planning on doing another one to see what happens next time. Poss thinking about accupuncture, I have read a little about it and we have a chinese medical centre in my town, going to see how I get on with Reiki first. Doing meditation and relaxation daily which I am enjoying and hoping to start yoga when I am a little stronger.
Legs are better, not got any peppermint oil yet but think my tea is helping lol!

Take care

Here's a post I did about some therapies I've been using, if anyone wants more specific ideas... I'm all for holistic treatments as only relying on traditional western medicine has not been too helpful so far.
